It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our life time member, Sis Jean Ruddenklau on 25th January 2026. Sis Jean came from a proud and longstanding tradition of Orangewomen and was a devoted and active member of the Canterbury region throughout her life. Over the years, Jean served in many ranks across the Orange Order and made a lasting contribution to the organisation. Wor. Bro. Bryan Smith was recently presented with the Grand Lodge Meritorious Service certificate and jewel for 60 years of service to the order, twenty years of which were at Grand Lodge level. Bryan joined the Loyal Orange Institution in  Winton as a young man.   He has been a loyal and steadfast member, having gone through the chairs of his primary Lodge.   he served as District Master of the Southern District before it amalgamated with Canterbury to become the South Islan
