In Memory of W. Sis Jean Ruddenklau

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our life time member, Sis Jean Ruddenklau on 25th January 2026.

Sis Jean came from a proud and longstanding tradition of Orangewomen and was a devoted and active member of the Canterbury region throughout her life. Over the years, Jean served in many ranks across the Orange Order and made a lasting contribution to the organisation.

She will be especially remembered for her remarkable passion for writing and art. Sis Jean was well known for her paintings, articles, and letters which she shared widely across the world. Her correspondence reached recipients ranging from HM Queen Elizabeth II to politicians, magazine editors, and members of the Orange Order, often reflecting her keen interest in cricket and matters close to her heart.

Sis Jean will be deeply missed.
