Worshipful Mistress of No 3 'Victoria & Albert' Wor. Sis. Sheryll Rodgers had the great pleasure of presenting the Orange Order Life Membership award to Wor. Sis Jean Ruddenklau QSM for 70 years of loyal and faithful service to the Loyal Orange Institution.
Jean joined the Junior Girls' Lodge No 2 'Bluebird' in 1950 and was a foundation member of the No 5 Intermediate Lodge 'Middleton' in 1958. She then joined LLOL No 3 'Victoria' and was one of a few members to be a Junior, Intermediate and Senior member all at the same time. She has also been a long serving member of LLOL No 5 Past Mistresses Lodge and been a delegate to the No 5 District Lodge.
Over the years Jean has worked tirelessly, especially as a reporter for the Orange News, gathering information for the archives, and raising thousands of dollars.
Well done Wor. Sis. Ruddenklau, this is an award well earned.
